Key Responsibilities:
- Research new features and improvements with the open source community and Canonical customers.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to shape the future of Canonical products.
- Provide direction to the design team, ensuring alignment with product strategy and best practices.
- Develop and promote design systems that enhance consistency and efficiency.
- Address systems-level problems with interconnected constraints.
- Lead end-to-end design processes for various challenges.
- Shape one of our working groups to drive Canonical design initiatives.
What We Are Looking For:
- Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in User Experience, Design, or a related field, or a compelling alternative background.
- Knowledge and passion for user experience, technology, and design.
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement; must be curious, flexible, and scientific.
- Result-oriented with a drive to complete tasks and celebrate successes.
- Strong engagement with user research practices and design innovation.
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events.
Work Conditions:
- This role will be based remotely in the EMEA region.
