Key Accountabilities of the Role
- User Research Planning: Develop and execute research plans that align with project goals, timelines, and stakeholder needs.
- Data Collection: Conduct qualitative and quantitative research methods, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and field studies.
- User Insights: Analyze research data to extract meaningful insights about user behaviors, needs, motivations, and pain points.
- Persona Development: Create detailed user personas and journey maps to guide design and development teams.
- Collaboration: Work closely with UX designers, product managers, and developers to integrate research findings into design and product development.
- Reporting: Present research findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest UX research methodologies and tools to enhance research practices continuously.
- Ethical Considerations: Ensure all research is conducted ethically, respecting user privacy and confidentiality.
- User Advocacy: Act as the voice of the user, ensuring their needs and experiences are central to design decisions.
- Benchmarking: Measure the effectiveness of UX improvements over time and contribute to ongoing user experience benchmarking.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this Role
- Experience working in consumer-focused product companies that deliver extraordinary user experiences.
- Ability to direct, drive, and evolve research projects in a constantly growing and experimenting environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus), along with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to break down and simplify complex problems, confidently presenting to audiences at various organizational levels.
- A user-focused design mentality, with experience in acquiring user feedback through usability studies, user research, or A/B tests.
- Proven experience in dynamic design processes that utilize both quantitative and qualitative customer data to guide designs.
- Strong time management skills, self-direction, and prioritization abilities.
- A curiosity to learn and adaptability to new and different challenges as they emerge.
