Key Accountabilities:
- Serve as L2 technical SME for the daily management, monitoring, and health of the multi-cloud environment (VMware/vCloud Director, Azure, OCI).
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for complex incidents, acting as the final point of escalation to minimize service impact and meet SLA targets.
- Implement and manage security controls, patches, and configurations to ensure platform integrity and compliance with security frameworks and contractual obligations.
- Proactively analyze and optimize platform performance and resource utilization to ensure efficiency and control costs.
- Work directly with customers as a trusted advisor to understand their requirements, recommend optimizations, and drive operational efficiencies that enhance satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation and standard operating procedures, while identifying and implementing opportunities for service improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Required professional certifications in one or more of the following: Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), VMware (VCP-DCV), or Huawei Cloud.
- ITIL Foundation certification is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure management and cloud operations.
- Proven track record as a SME in managing and supporting multi-cloud environments, including VMware/vCloud Director, Azure, and OCI.
- Demonstrated experience in managing Enterprise customers with a focus on optimizing performance, ensuring high availability, and maintaining SLA compliance.
- Practical experience with infrastructure components including network security, storage systems, and Windows/Linux server administration.
Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms (VMware/vCD, Azure, OCI), including deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in managing network security, storage, and operating systems (Windows & Linux).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to act as a trusted advisor to customers.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automating routine tasks.
- Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing compliance controls in cloud environments.
