We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Web Engineering team to drive best practices and lead technical conversations. You'll be responsible for the development of large projects, encouraging efficient engineering processes, writing specifications, and communicating risks effectively. This position offers opportunities to gain technical knowledge in innovative tech areas and fosters transparency, intellectual honesty, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify improvements for the team and drive initiatives
- Design and implement well-tested and documented software
- Debug and address user-reported issues
- Lead engineering processes through code and architectural reviews
- Contribute to technical documentation
- Deploy and operate services developed by the team
Requirements:
- Strong technical standards and a sound architectural approach
- Valued soft skills: passionate, self-motivated, and organized
- Exceptional academic track record in Computer Science or STEM
- Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred)
- Professional written and spoken English
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to travel twice a year for company events (up to two weeks each)
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with container technologies like LXD, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Experience in REST API design and development
- Performance engineering and security experience
