You will balance maintaining business-critical services while enhancing features, including expanding package building capabilities, improving user development flows, and modernizing the web UI. If you thrive on organization and continuous improvement, you’ll be a great fit.
Location: Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia (Remote)
Work Conditions: Full-time, Remote (candidates must be located within the EMEA region)
Travel: 2 to 4 times a year for internal and external events
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within and contribute to design, architecture, and feature selection across distributed teams
- Write high-quality, API-first Python code with unit tests
- Debug issues and deliver high-quality fixes
- Review code produced by fellow engineers
Who You Are:
- Passionate about technology and problem-solving
- A strategic thinker who is curious and accountable
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field
- Proficient in producing production-quality code, preferably in Python
- Experienced in maintaining and improving large web applications
- Familiar with PostgreSQL or other databases and data management
- Interested in integration, infrastructure, and operations
- Knowledgeable about Ubuntu as a development and deployment platform
- Understanding of various software packaging systems, including Debian/Ubuntu packages
Language Requirements: Proficiency in English is essential.
