In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end transition of new or modified services from project delivery into live operations, ensuring services are fully ready and stable from day one. You will work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment alongside experts in engineering, cybersecurity, customer operations, and service management. We are specifically seeking a candidate experienced in transitioning complex, mission-critical services into steady-state delivery, who is comfortable joining the process during this transitional phase.

Location: Greater Reading Area, United Kingdom
Work Conditions: Permanent, Full-time, Hybrid (with 10-15% domestic & international travel)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and deliver the Service Transition Plan, ensuring compliance with governance and operational readiness.
  • Act as the primary service interface with the Authority Transition Lead and Service Manager.
  • Coordinate training and knowledge transfer from projects to operational teams.
  • Ensure timely completion of Service Readiness Reviews and meet Acceptance into Service criteria.
  • Manage transition risks, issues, and dependencies effectively.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in delivering Service Transition for complex, regulated services (e.g., government, CNI, transport, security, large-scale IT).
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL-aligned service management and operational handover processes.
  • Experience with ServiceNow for service onboarding.
  • Excellent coordination skills and ability to interact confidently with senior stakeholders.
  • Language Requirements: Fluency in written and spoken English; knowledge of additional languages is beneficial.
  • Must hold, or be willing to obtain, SC Clearance.
