Position

As a Service Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in executing retrofit upgrades, system extensions, and modifications for Substation Automation systems, as well as delivering Service Level Agreement (SLA) programs. You will lead assignments of varying complexity, ensuring all site activities are efficiently, cost-effectively, and fully aligned with contractual obligations, quality standards, and safety requirements.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Represent the Service Engineering function in project and customer meetings, contributing to project execution philosophies and plans.
  • Serve as a key technical interface with customers, presenting the company as a professional and trusted partner.
  • Coordinate with customers and external entities to prepare project documents, execution schedules, acceptance criteria, resolve open items, and complete acceptance testing activities.
  • Execute service engineering activities, ensuring on-time, on-quality, and on-cost delivery.
  • Perform system modifications, extensions, and upgrades, including Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), energization checks, and final system acceptance.
  • Develop HMI configurations and system databases according to project specifications.
  • Prepare comprehensive project documentation in coordination with team leads and project managers.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, external regulations, cybersecurity requirements, and safety protocols.
  • Support continuous improvement and contribute to the development of service activity estimates during tendering.
  • Manage external partners, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality requirements.
  • Drive innovation to improve engineering solutions and enhance customer value.

  • Perform risk assessments throughout project execution and provide timely reporting of contract issues, quality concerns, and scheduling risks.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Systems, Automation, or a related field.
  • 6–10 years of experience as an SCMS engineer with expertise in design, testing, and commissioning.
  • Strong command of Substation Automation Systems and communication protocols (IEC 101, IEC 104, IEC 61850, etc.).
  • Advanced proficiency with the company MicroSCADA and RTU systems.
  • Hands-on experience with engineering tools (MS Office, Visio, IET, ITT, PCM, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of substation control logic and power system operational principles.
  • Intermediate knowledge of OT cybersecurity standards and testing methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Willingness to travel 100% to customer sites.
