Position

As a Senior Service Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in executing retrofit upgrades, system extensions, and modifications for Substation Automation systems while delivering Service Level Agreement (SLA) programs. You will lead assignments of medium to high complexity, ensuring all project activities are completed efficiently, cost-effectively, and fully aligned with contractual obligations, quality standards, and safety requirements.

How You’ll Make An Impact:

  • Represent the Service Engineering function in project and customer meetings, contributing to the development of project execution philosophies and plans.
  • Serve as a key technical interface with customers, ensuring the company is presented as a professional and trusted partner.
  • Execute engineering activities such as design, manufacturing, system integrations, factory testing, and support in site implementations.
  • Develop HMI configurations and system databases according to project specifications.
  • Coordinate with customers and external entities to finalize design concepts and complete acceptance testing activities.
  • Prepare project documentation including Panel Drawings, System Architecture, Signal Lists, and Risk Assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, external regulations, cybersecurity requirements, and safety protocols.
  • Manage external partners providing equipment or services, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality requirements.
  • Mentor and support colleagues, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
  • Perform real-time risk and opportunity assessments throughout project execution and provide timely reporting of contract issues and quality concerns.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Systems, Automation, or a related field.
  • 6–10 years of experience as an SCMS engineer with proven design, testing, and commissioning expertise.
  • Strong command of Substation Automation Systems and communication protocols (IEC 101, IEC 104, IEC 61850, etc.).
  • Advanced proficiency with the company MicroSCADA and RTU systems.
  • Hands-on experience with engineering tools such as MS Office, Visio, IET, ITT, PCM, and MiCOM.
  • Solid understanding of substation control logic, interlocking schemes, and power system operational principles.
  • Intermediate knowledge of OT cybersecurity standards and practices.
  • Willingness to travel 20% to customer sites.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
