ServiceNow Architect

A ServiceNow Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and leading enterprise-wide ServiceNow solutions that align with business goals, IT strategy, security standards, and operational efficiency. The architect acts as the technical authority for platform design, integrations, scalability, governance, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design end-to-end architecture solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
• Lead implementation of modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CMS, SecOps, CMDB, and SPM.
• Define platform governance, standards, and development best practices.
• Architect integrations with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, IntegrationHub, LDAP/SAML/OAuth.
• Guide developers, admins, and consultants during implementation.
• Conduct architecture reviews and technical assessments.
• Ensure scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Design CMDB and service mapping strategies.
• Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Support upgrade planning and platform roadmap initiatives.
• Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives.

Required Skills:

• Deep expertise in ServiceNow platform architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, ACLs, UI Policies, Service Portal/UI Builder, and IntegrationHub.
• JavaScript and scripting proficiency.
• Experience with cloud technologies and enterprise integrations.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and CMDB architecture.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Certifications:

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
• Certified Application Developer (CAD)
• Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
• Certified Technical Architect (CTA) – highly valued
• ITIL Foundation Certification

Experience Requirements:

• 7–15+ years in IT
• 4–8+ years hands-on ServiceNow experience
• Experience leading large enterprise implementations
• Experience handling multi-instance architecture and governance
