Responsibilities
As an Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring compliance with the manage the Job Cycle (MtJC) process.
- Collaborating with the assigned Service Delivery Coordinator/Salesperson to understand client well construction or production objectives and the commercial terms for the company.
- Performing offset job analysis and product/service specific engineering modeling calculations to assess application hazards and incident potential.
- Working with all disciplines and stakeholders to consider all aspects and constraints of the application and suggested products/services.
- Designing a job program that meets client objectives, maximizes revenue potential, and secures future job assignments for the company, including risk mitigation and contingency plans.
- Communicating any risks of not meeting client objectives to the client through appropriate channels/processes.
- Accurately documenting any calculations, simulations, plan revisions, and changes during project cycles for visibility to dependent teams and audit purposes.
- Providing on-demand support in alignment with the product portfolio or on-call schedule for job execution.
- Comparing job as-planned versus job as-executed, documenting lessons learned, and developing recommendations for procedural improvements.
- Working on field incidents related to products/services and participating in incident investigations as required.
- Ensuring timely incident management for fast customer issue resolution and cash collection.
- Advising on product improvement opportunities for repetitive component/product failures.
- Providing sales support and product application recommendations.
- Handling product line specific responsibilities as applicable.
- Managing special projects as required.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
- Have 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.
- Exhibit strong leadership, interpersonal, influencing, and planning skills.
- Be available to be on call outside of normal business hours.
- Be capable of working in a global matrix organization.
- Have excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Possess strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Be able to travel, potentially to rig sites, customer facilities, meetings, training, etc.
