Position

As a Simulator Technician at CAE, you will support all training center operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality service at a new Training Center in Dubai, UAE. You will work towards achieving CAE's goal of providing world-class flight simulator training aligned with its vision of enhancing safety, efficiency, and readiness in training operations.

Location: Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support all technical and operational aspects of Flight Simulator Training Devices and Cabin Crew Training Devices.
  • Attend flight crew and maintenance calls, perform daily readiness checks, support flyouts, and carry out scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex training device issues and AOGs (Aircraft on Ground).
  • Work on improvements to procedures for training device maintenance tasks.
  • Provide on-the-job technical training to other technicians through coaching and mentoring.
  • Maintain and support the FSTD (Flight Simulator Training Device) operations Management System.
  • Perform updates of navigation databases, charts, and lesson plan uploads.
  • Track and request consumable items and tools needed for maintenance tasks.
  • Engage in logistics duties, including yearly inventories and preparation for shipping.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

  • Technical College Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Aviation Field.
  • 3 to 6 years of related work experience.
  • Excellent command of the English language (reading, speaking, and writing).
  • Highly customer-oriented with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Skilled in computer architecture, networking, operating systems, and minor software changes.
  • Proficient technical background with familiarity in FSTD technical issues.
  • Strong understanding of various aircraft types, including commercial jetliners (Airbus family).
  • Knowledge of local & international aviation regulations (EASA, UAE DGCA, etc.).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Language Requirements: Excellent knowledge of the English language is required.
