We are seeking an experienced Simulator Electrical / Hardware Technician to join our team at Al Majma’ah Airbase, focusing on advanced Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) simulators. As part of a dedicated team of three technicians, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of an existing fleet of three UAV simulators – two Generic Mission Training devices and one desktop system. Work Conditions:
- On-site
- Full-time
- Working hours: 0700-1500 Sunday to Thursday
Key Tasks:
- Identify, diagnose, and solve problems in complex flight simulation systems.
- Collaborate with test engineers and pilots for updates and bug fixes at the subsystem level.
- Support integration of data, software, hardware, and various assemblies.
- Perform calibration of instruments and functional testing of systems.
- Conduct detailed fault analysis, rectification, and repair.
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and related systems.
- Record and track maintenance activities using maintenance management systems.
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight checks and visual calibrations.
- Run automatic Qualification Test Guides (QTG) and assist with hardware modifications.
- Engage in administrative and logistics duties as required.
About You:
- Relevant technical qualifications and some experience in an electronic, avionic, or related technical field.
- Strong background in electrical and hardware engineering.
- Familiarity with software (coding not required) and proficiency in PC/computer architecture.
- Experience in soldering and circuit board repairs is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Possess a practical and analytical mindset with excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
