As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will contribute to next-gen operations at scale using pure Python infrastructure-as-code, covering everything from bare metal to containers and applications. Our goal is to perfect enterprise infrastructure DevOps. We manage hundreds of private cloud, Kubernetes, and application clusters across physical and public cloud estates, leveraging automation and model-driven operations.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Bring Python software-engineering skills and rigor to the operations domain.
  • Practice devsecops from bare metal to application.
  • Architect and run OpenStack, Kubernetes, and software-defined storage.
  • Enable devsecops for applications running on that infrastructure.
  • Acquire knowledge in a broad range of cloud technologies and stay current with the latest capabilities in open source infrastructure.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Experience with Linux and familiarity with Linux networking and storage.
  • Python software development expertise.
  • Operational experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.
  • Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events lasting up to two weeks.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with OpenStack or Kubernetes deployment or operations.
  • Familiarity with public or private cloud management.

Work Conditions:

  • This is a globally remote role, with expectations of international travel for team events twice a year.
  • Distributed work environment with twice-yearly in-person team sprints.
  • Personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year.
  • Annual compensation review and performance-driven bonuses.
