Responsibilities
- Lead the development and customization of websites and applications using Sitecore XM Cloud, integrating with modern frameworks like Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and .NET (C#).
- Architect and implement headless solutions, preferably utilizing SXA (Sitecore Experience Accelerator), and ensure seamless content delivery across various channels.
- Collaborate with Sitecore Architects and stakeholders to design scalable, performant digital experiences that align precisely with business requirements.
- Perform comprehensive code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce best practices for code quality and security within XM Cloud environments.
- Optimize Sitecore instances for performance, which includes managing caching, indexing, and actively troubleshooting production issues.
- Integrate third-party services, APIs, and tools, such as personalization engines, sophisticated search functionalities, and analytics platforms.
- Manage content workflows, personalization features, and A/B testing capabilities within the XM Cloud platform.
- Conduct thorough testing, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure robust and reliable deployments.
- Stay updated with XM Cloud product updates, contribute to proof-of-concepts, and drive the adoption of new features.
- Provide technical leadership in agile environments, specifically focusing on scoping projects and mitigating technical risks.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of six years of professional experience in web development, with at least four years specifically focused on Sitecore platforms, including XM Cloud.
- Proven expertise in the .NET framework (C#), MVC architecture, and headless development principles.
- Hands-on experience with Sitecore XM Cloud tools, including deployment pipelines, Vercel integration, and Edge/PAAS environments.
- Strong understanding of modern front-end technologies: JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frameworks like React/Next.js.
- Experience with relational databases (SQL Server preferred), API integrations (REST/GraphQL), and DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Git).
- Familiarity with foundational Sitecore modules, such as Experience Database (xDB), Email Experience Manager, and Sitecore Commerce (if applicable).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, demonstrated by a track record of successfully supporting and maintaining production Sitecore environments.
Preferred Skills
- Current Sitecore certifications (e.g., Sitecore 10 .NET Developer, XM Cloud Developer).
- Knowledge of major cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies, utilizing tools like Jira.
- Proficiency in performance optimization, SEO best practices, and accessibility standards.
- Strong soft skills: excellent communication, demonstrated teamwork, and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
