The Security Analyst will be a vital member of the information security monitoring and incident handling team. The primary responsibility will be to monitor and manage all information security incidents and risks, addressing them according to business security requirements. Key Activities Include:
- Work as part of a 24x7 security operation team
- Monitor the Security Information and Event Management System (SIEM) and follow up on all related security incidents and events
- Ensure continuity of work by following day-to-day operations related to the role
- Respond to security incidents and report on incident handling and resolution
- Participate in forensic analysis, data recovery, and penetration testing
- Perform daily security analysis, scanning, and assessment for information security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities
- Conduct proactive research to identify and understand new threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits
- Configure and administer security systems and tools
- Define and evaluate security technologies necessary for safe operations and detection of cyber-attacks
- Provide security recommendations to improve the security posture within the CLIENT environment
- Adhere to all relevant departmental policies, processes, and standard operating procedures to ensure controlled and consistent work
- Participate in reviewing and documenting computer security and emergency gate identified vulnerabilities and promoting security initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or Engineering
- 1+ years of experience in IT/Security operations or a SOC role
- Relevant certifications such as Network+, CCNA R&S, Security+, and Linux Security; Windows security or forensics training is a plus
- Professional Security certification preferred (CIHE, CEH, CPTE, or equivalent)
- Knowledge and experience in network switches, routers, and firewalls
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, and Access
Skills:
- Strong verbal presentation and negotiation skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic
