The SOC Analyst (L3) is a developing engineering role responsible for providing a managed service to clients, ensuring that their Security Infrastructures and systems remain operational. This position involves proactive monitoring, identifying, investigating, and resolving technical incidents and problems to restore services efficiently. The primary objective is to review client requests or tickets proactively, applying technical and process knowledge to resolve issues without breaching service level agreements (SLA). This role focuses on second-line support for incidents and requests with medium complexity and may also contribute to project work as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years working in a Security Operations Center (SOC).
  • Proficient in Incident Management and Response, handling escalations.
  • In-depth knowledge of security concepts including cyber-attacks, threat vectors, risk management, and incident management.
  • Work in a 24x7 SOC environment.
  • Analyze and trend security log data from various security devices.
  • Conduct threat and vulnerability analysis and provide security advisory services.
  • Investigate, document, and report on information security issues and emerging trends.
  • Collaborate and share information with other analysts and teams.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix) and TCP/IP protocols.
  • Effective communication skills for developing and delivering diverse written and visual documents.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • BE/B.Tech/M.Tech/MSc/MCA or equivalent.
  • At least one of the following certifications: GCFA, GCFE, CISP, CISSP, CCNP, CCIE Security, CEH.
  • CCNA certification is mandatory; CCNP in Security or PCNSE certification is beneficial.
