The SOC Engineer role is a full-time position based in Abu Dhabi. Responsibilities include monitoring security events and alerts, investigating incidents, and analyzing logs from various security tools and systems to identify potential threats. The SOC Engineer will triage and respond to security incidents, escalate complex cases, and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely remediation. Additionally, this role involves maintaining and tuning SIEM and other monitoring platforms, developing and updating playbooks, and contributing to the continuous improvement of security operations processes. The SOC Engineer will also generate reports, support compliance and audit requirements, and stay current with emerging threats and best practices in cybersecurity.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of SOC operations, including incident detection, triage, investigation, and response.
  • Experience with SIEM platforms, log management, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, and other security monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and common attack vectors, with the ability to analyze logs and traffic patterns.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work in a high-paced, 24/7 operations environment if required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications (such as CEH, GIAC, CompTIA Security+, or similar) are an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a SOC, cyber defense, or security engineering role within telecom or large enterprise environments is highly beneficial.
