Position

The SOC Security Specialist supports the day-to-day operations of the Security Operations Center (SOC) at the company, ensuring effective monitoring, incident response, and coordination of security activities across the plant. The role is responsible for maintaining situational awareness, escalating security incidents as appropriate, and supporting the protection of personnel, assets, and operations. Reporting to the Senior SOC Supervisor, the SOC Security Specialist serves as a key contributor to the execution of security protocols, emergency response procedures, and operational security initiatives within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees SOC shift activities and systems supporting the company operations to ensure continuous security monitoring and effective incident response.
  • Coordinates with SOC management, Security Specialists, and contracted security personnel to support plant security operations, patrol activities, and incident response requirements.
  • Ensures the company SOC remains staffed, operational, and responsive on a 24x7 basis.
  • Monitors, reports, and follows up on safety, security, emergency, and routine operational matters affecting the company.
  • Maintains accurate logs, records, emergency documentation, incident reports, shift handover reports, and other required SOC records.
  • Prepares and submits daily, monthly, annual, and ad hoc reports to SOC management, Security leadership, and relevant departments as required.
  • Communicates timely updates, briefings, and escalations to Security personnel, SOC management, Security Managers, and other relevant stakeholders during routine and emergency situations.
  • Initiates communication with internal and external stakeholders to support emergency response, incident escalation, and operational coordination.
  • Evaluates, updates, and supports the implementation of emergency plans, standing orders, drills, and SOC procedures applicable to the company.
  • Maintains updated emergency contact lists, personnel rosters, certifications, licenses, attendance records, leaves, and permits for assigned personnel.
  • Ensures SOC systems, communication tools, and supporting equipment are functioning properly; reports malfunctions and follows up on maintenance tickets until closure.
  • Promotes compliance with workplace appearance, uniform standards, operational instructions, and professional conduct during assigned shifts.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of SOC operations, security protocols, emergency communications, and incident response practices.
  • Ability to communicate technical and operational security information clearly to management, internal stakeholders, and personnel unfamiliar with security systems and procedures.
  • Ability to organize shift activities, coordinate resources, and manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, electronic data processing, CCTV systems, communication tools, and SOC-related technologies.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, professionalism, and composure under pressure, particularly during emergency or high-priority situations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Security Operations Center, emergency dispatch, or a related security environment, preferably in a supervisory or shift-lead capacity.
  • Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) certifications are preferred, including Public Safety Telecommunicator, Fire Service Communications, or Emergency Medical Dispatch.
  • Knowledge and experience in CCTV monitoring, supported by relevant CCTV training or certification.
  • Familiarity with applicable rules, regulations, orders, policies, procedures, and general manufacturing plant operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally to different levels of personnel, including executive leadership.
