As one of the most widely used DeFi platforms, the company powers swaps, limit orders, and liquidity tools across multiple chains. Our backend systems act as the bridge between users and the blockchain, routing transactions, aggregating liquidity, serving APIs at scale, and ensuring every operation is performed accurately in a high-stakes financial environment.
We are looking to build a talent pool of mid and senior-level backend engineers to help shape this infrastructure. This job posting is evergreen: there is no single open role tied to it, but you will be in our pipeline when approved positions arise.
What You'll Do:
- Build, extend, and operate backend services and APIs that power the company products and internal platforms.
- Improve scalability, reliability, maintainability, and developer experience across backend systems.
- Design and implement integrations with smart-contract platforms, blockchain data sources, and external services.
- Contribute to observability, monitoring, incident response, and post-mortem processes.
- Optimize backend services for performance, resilience, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with product, blockchain, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable distributed systems.
- Participate in code reviews, testing workflows, and engineering best practices across the development lifecycle.
- At a senior level, own services end-to-end, define technical direction, and mentor other engineers.
Who You Are:
- Professional experience in building and operating backend systems in production environments.
- Strong proficiency in Golang, Typescript, or another backend/systems programming language, with practical concurrency and performance knowledge.
- Solid understanding of system design fundamentals, including services, data flows, reliability, and maintainability.
- Familiarity with blockchain platforms, smart contracts, transaction handling, and on-chain integrations.
- Experience with containerized services and modern deployment practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in fast-paced engineering environments.
- Ability to balance technical quality, scalability, and operational reliability.
- At a senior level, experience owning projects end-to-end and contributing to architectural decision-making.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience working with multiple blockchain networks or non-EVM ecosystems.
- Familiarity with on-chain data indexing, observability tooling, or protocol debugging systems.
- Experience in building performance-sensitive systems such as routing engines, risk controls, or high-throughput pipelines.
- Background in fintech, crypto, or other correctness-critical domains.
- Exposure to distributed systems or low-latency infrastructure architectures.
