Responsibilities
- Work as part of a cross-functional team to help and lead the development of new features.
- Review code, debug and refactor as necessary, striving to improve the codebase continuously.
- Contribute to application improvement and optimization through code audits, refactoring, caching, and architectural changes.
- Write DRY code while employing best practices.
- Define requirements for new features and assist with sprint planning.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to shape, estimate, and plan new requirements.
- Participate in regular showcases of new work for product owners and business stakeholders.
- Continuously seek improvement within the team.
- Demonstrate a passion for building and optimizing performance.
- Thrive in an agile and fast-paced environment.
- Take technical leadership on project work as needed.
- Work closely with the product team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Expertise in PHP or Node.js with hands-on experience in microservices.
- Proficiency in PHP within large, scalable web applications.
- Familiarity with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, etc.
- Understanding of version control systems, specifically GIT.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and tools like JIRA.
- Basic understanding of Unix commands and environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
