Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates (On-site)
Work Conditions:
- Full-time
- Hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days per week on-site in the Dubai office
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable microservices and high-performance APIs
- Ensure low latency and high throughput in service architecture
- Monitor technical and business metrics and set up alerting systems for early incident detection
- Perform regular profiling and system performance analysis to optimize backend components, including database queries and response times
- Participate in code reviews and engage in architecture discussions and sprint planning sessions
- Ensure backend systems are secure, scalable, and resilient
- Proactively identify and mitigate system vulnerabilities
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in fintech, DeFi, or crypto projects
- Experience with microservices architecture in a high-load environment
- Experience setting up and managing metrics pipelines and alerting systems
- Proficient in Node.js/TypeScript with strong SQL skills and PostgreSQL experience
- Familiarity with Redis, message brokers (e.g., NATS, EMQX, Kafka), and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
- Good understanding of blockchain fundamentals, Web3, and Solidity
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and basic Kubernetes concepts
- Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive communication skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Nest.js
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture
- Knowledge of Web3 libraries (ethers.js, web3.js) for blockchain interactions
