Software Engineer - Cloud Images

As a Software Engineer, you will work on Linux, cloud infrastructure, pipelines, and automation, collaborating closely with world-class cloud partners such as Amazon, Microsoft, and Google to enhance Ubuntu as a leading cloud platform.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Building automated and reliable image delivery, testing, and publication pipelines.
• Designing, building, and integrating new features into Ubuntu for public cloud users.
• Collaborating proactively with a distributed team.
• Writing high-quality code and debugging issues.
• Engaging with various teams within the company and the open-source community.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or similar degree.
• Practical experience with public clouds.
• Interest and experience with at least three of the following: containers (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.), DevOps automation, open-source projects, APIs, Linux systems administration, Python packaging, cloud-based applications.
• Experience in Python software development on Linux.
