We are hiring a Software Engineer focused on Linux, cloud infrastructure, pipelines, and open source software. In this role, you will develop automated, reliable image delivery, testing, and publication pipelines. Your duties include designing and integrating new features into Ubuntu, collaborating with a distributed team, debugging issues, and ensuring the production of high-quality code.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain automated image delivery and publication pipelines.
- Design and integrate new features to support users of Ubuntu in public clouds.
- Collaborate with a distributed team on high-quality code production.
- Participate in design discussions and code reviews.
- Work from home while engaging in occasional global travel.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar degree.
- Practical experience with public clouds.
- Familiarity with at least three of the following: containers (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.), DevOps automation, open source projects, APIs, Linux systems administration, Python packaging, cloud-based applications.
- Experience in Python software development on Linux.
