In this role, you will be responsible for the automation of OpenSearch operations, ensuring fault-tolerant replication, TLS, installation, and providing domain-specific expertise. You will create and automate features of data platforms and collaborate with an internationally distributed team.
What Your Day Will Look Like:
- Proactive collaboration with an internationally distributed team.
- Writing high-quality, idiomatic Python code to create new features.
- Debugging issues and interacting with upstream communities.
- Working with a diverse group of talented engineers.
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven hands-on experience in software development using Python.
- Proven hands-on experience in distributed systems development.
- Bachelor’s or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar degree.
- Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
Additional Skills That You Might Also Bring:
- Experience with search and analytics engines like Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and OpenSearch.
- Experience with Linux systems administration and operations.
- Familiarity with public or private cloud solutions like OpenStack.
- Experience with Kubernetes clusters.
