We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our Developer Experience (DevEx) team. This role involves streamlining processes that allow developers to work efficiently, managing the entire application lifecycle, and ensuring seamless provisioning and configuration for our teams.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Managing source control setup to streamline code integration.
- Developing and implementing configuration management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Monitoring and optimising resource costs to ensure efficient use.
- Implementing observability solutions for proactive system monitoring.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards through automated processes.
What You'll Need:
- Proven software engineering skills, specifically as a Python backend developer.
- Experience with cloud providers, such as GCP and AWS.
- Proficient in Linux and Docker.
- Knowledge of distributed systems (scaling, fault tolerance, load balancing, etc.).
- Familiarity with continuous delivery systems (e.g., Jenkins, TeamCity).
- Experienced with configuration management systems and deployment tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- Understanding of relational databases (e.g., Postgres, MySQL).
- Experience with Kubernetes for continuous delivery.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with monitoring solutions like NewRelic, StackDriver, or Prometheus.
