We are building a new generation of Ubuntu-based container images to simplify open-source application deployment. This role involves developing tools and technology for these container images, maintaining high quality while ensuring a seamless Ubuntu user experience. You will work on Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery automation, contributing to products like Rocks (OCI images) and Chisel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build robust, scalable, leading-edge container images.
- Automate CI/CD processes for building, testing, and publishing container images.
- Write tools and tests for security compliance and cloud-native compatibility.
- Engage with the open-source community as a subject-matter expert.
- Mentor team members and assist in hiring.
- Work in a collaborative, agile, and globally distributed environment.
Requirements:
- Significant experience with Go and container operations.
- Knowledge of CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Experience with container management tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar degree.
Language Requirements: Proficiency in English.
