We are looking for a highly talented Software Engineer II - Android to join our team in Riyadh. Key Responsibilities:
- Stay updated with the latest software development methodologies to provide best-in-class software solutions.
- Analyze product requirements to understand engineering needs, evaluate technical feasibility, estimate efforts, and provide required solutions in collaboration with the Product Team.
- Assist in developing components and managing the programming of different solution components to transform requirements into functioning software.
- Document coding steps for clarity and future modifications or maintenance.
- Write unit, integration, and UI/Snapshot tests.
- Investigate and resolve issues and bugs through patches and various means.
- Collaborate with colleagues for code reviews and provide detailed code review reports.
- Perform functional and module testing to ensure delivered solutions are fully functional.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on product development while recommending improvements when necessary.
- Assist in user trials and acceptance testing.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in software development, with a strong understanding of design patterns and algorithms, preferably using Kotlin or Swift as the primary development languages, with Java as an alternative.
- Experience with Flutter is preferred.
- Skilled in native Android development with hands-on experience in writing high-quality, testable code.
- Familiar with modern mobile architectures and in-depth knowledge of the mobile engineering lifecycle, particularly with Agile methodologies (SCRUM or Kanban).
- A proven track record of impacting complex systems and experiencing execution with a "getting things done" mentality.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high prioritization skills, along with experience using versioning tools (Git).
- Familiarity with Modern Android Development approaches, including practical knowledge of ViewModel, LiveData, Paging, Navigation, SafeArgs, Retrofit2, RxJava2, Dagger2 (in multi-module applications), and understanding of Modular App Architecture and CI/CD pipelines.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Knowledge of Firebase, Google Maps API, Fastlane scripting, and Checkout.com SDK.
