Responsibilities:
- Keep abreast of the latest software development methodologies to provide best-in-class software solutions.
- Analyze product requirements to understand engineering requirements and evaluate technical feasibility.
- Assist in building development components and managing programming to transform requirements into functional software.
- Document all coding steps to ensure comprehensibility for future modifications and maintenance.
- Write unit, integration, and UI/Snapshot testing.
- Investigate and resolve issues and bugs via patches and other methods.
- Collaborate with colleagues in code reviews and deliver code review reports.
- Perform functional and module testing to ensure the functionality of delivered solutions.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on product development, recommending improvements as necessary.
- Assist in user trials and acceptance testing.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of software development experience with practical knowledge of design patterns and algorithms, primarily using Kotlin (Java acceptable).
- Strong skills in native Android development and hands-on experience writing high-quality, testable code.
- Knowledge of mobile engineering lifecycle and experience with Agile methodologies (SCRUM or Kanban).
- Proven track record of impacting the development of complex systems, with welcome contributions to open-source projects and technical publications.
- Strong execution capabilities with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively while using versioning tools (Git).
- Familiarity with Modern Android Development practices including ViewModel, LiveData, Paging, Navigation, SafeArgs, Retrofit2, RxJava2, Dagger2, Modular App Architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to write new modules using maintainable architecture.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Knowledge of Firebase, Google Maps API, Fastlane scripting, and Checkout.com SDK.
