We are looking for a highly talented Software Engineer II - Android to join our team in Riyadh. Responsibilities
- Stay updated with the latest software development methodologies to provide best-in-class software solutions.
- Analyze product requirements to understand engineering needs, evaluate technical feasibility, estimate efforts, and collaborate with the Product Team to provide solutions.
- Build development components and manage the programming of different solution components to transform requirements into working software accurately.
- Document all coding steps for comprehensibility and facilitate future modifications and maintenance.
- Write unit, integration, and UI/Snapshot tests; investigate and resolve issues and bugs.
- Collaborate with colleagues for code reviews and provide code review reports.
- Perform functional and module testing to ensure the functionality of delivered solutions.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on product development and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Assist in user trials and acceptance testing.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in software development, with practical knowledge of design patterns and algorithms. Proficiency in Kotlin or Swift as a primary development language is required, with Java also acceptable.
- Experience with Flutter is preferred.
- Open-minded about technologies but particularly skilled in native Android development.
- Hands-on experience writing high-quality, testable code and proficiency with modern mobile architectures.
- In-depth knowledge of mobile engineering lifecycle for fragments and activities with practical experience in Agile methodologies (SCRUM or Kanban).
- Proven track record of impacting the development of complex systems, with open-source contributions and technical publications welcomed.
- Execution-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating high prioritization skills and experience with versioning tools (Git).
- Familiarity with Modern Android Development approaches and practices, including ViewModel, LiveData, Paging, Navigation, SafeArgs, Retrofit2, RxJava2, Dagger2 (multi-module applications).
- Understanding of Modular App Architecture and CI/CD pipeline is advantageous.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge of Firebase, Google Maps API, Fastlane scripting, and Checkout.com SDK.
