As a Software Engineer II - Backend at talabat, you will work closely with your cross-functional team (engineering, product, data) to continuously discover and address customer and business needs. Your responsibilities will include designing, writing, and releasing software solutions, delivering value in small batches according to our engineering standards. You will own and innovate within your service domain, supporting the optimization of your team's practices to foster a self-organizing, continuously improving unit. This role requires a strong emphasis on understanding user needs and a willingness to explore alternative working methods to enhance co-creation and continuous improvement.

What You Need to Be Successful:
- Empathetic with strong relationship-building skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Humble, curious, and open-minded with a growth mindset, thriving on continuous feedback
- Understanding of lean/agile values, principles, and associated practices
- 3+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in an Extreme Programming environment (TDD, Pair Programming, Simple Design, Continuous Refactoring)
- Proficiency in predominant languages such as .NET, Golang, and C#
- Testing experience with a focus on automated end-to-end quality
- Familiarity with distributed Systems Architecture (Microservices, Event-Driven, RESTful Services)
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
- Experience with Trunk Based Development and Continuous Delivery
