As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will:
- Participate in architectural decision-making for a platform used by millions of people.
- Actively engage in migrating our monolithic application to Microservices.
- Design, improve, and secure the overall backend architecture to support significant growth in users and products.
- Work with Docker containers, Kubernetes manifests, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Coach and mentor team members as a senior member of the team.
- Embrace Design Driven Development, SOLID Principles, Event-driven Architecture, and automated testing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and agile teams to understand the development lifecycle.
- Contribute to test coverage, refactoring, and documentation.
- Perform code reviews and debugging regularly.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in backend development using GoLang, Ruby on Rails (RoR), Java, or Python.
- Strong database expertise with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases, including a solid understanding of ACID principles and optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in monitoring, alerting, and logging tools such as Grafana.
- Deep understanding of software architecture, including Domain-Driven Design (DDD), microservices, Kubernetes, and containerization.
- Experience with monolithic migration.
- A strong testing mindset with experience in writing unit and integration tests.
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
