Software Engineer Intern

The company is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer Intern (UAE National) to join our dynamic and skilled AI team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will learn and contribute to software development through hands-on projects and mentored assignments. You will collaborate with experienced engineers, gaining insight into best practices in software development, and writing clean, documented code under their guidance.

As an intern, you will participate in code reviews to enhance your understanding of coding standards and quality, assist with testing and debugging applications, document your work, and engage in team meetings as well as agile ceremonies to familiarize yourself with our development process.

Current Tech Stack:

• Frontend: Next.js
• Backend: Node.js (experience layer), Go (system layer), Python (AI)
• APIs: GraphQL, gRPC
• Other technologies: PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Flux, Azure, GitHub

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Basic programming knowledge in any modern programming language.
• Eagerness to learn and adaptability to new technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Interest in software development best practices and coding standards.
• Basic understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Go.
• Previous project experience (personal, academic, or professional).
• Interest in fintech, banking, or wealth management.

Duration:
The internship will last for 6-12 weeks, scheduled between Mid-September and December.

Location:
ADGM - Abu Dhabi.
