About The Team
The DMart network spans 860+ dark stores and 31 distribution centres across eight MENA markets. A new domain is being launched out of the Dubai Global Tech Hub to bring intelligence to how the network operates, with a focus on predicting demand, optimizing stock movement, and identifying problems before they arise.

Job Description
Role summary
- Participate in continuous discovery of customer/business needs, desires, and problems alongside other engineers and team members (product, data) to drive desired outcomes.
- Design, write, and release software solutions to end-to-end problems in the business domain, delivering value in small batches while adhering to engineering standards.
- Understand scalability and complexity of services.
- Participate in optimizing team practices to develop a self-organized, continuously improving unit.
- Seek mentorship to become a product engineer capable of solving business problems end-to-end.
Qualifications
- Empathetic with the ability to build relationships with other engineers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Humble, curious, and open-minded with a growth mindset, thriving on continuous feedback.
- Good knowledge of foundational software engineering and some software development experience, preferably with .NET, Golang, or C# programming languages.
- Familiarity with testing, focusing on automated end-to-end quality.
- Understanding of the basics of Distributed Systems Architecture (Microservices, Event-Driven, and RESTful Services).
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, as well as cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other related technical field.
