About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated software engineer who will take ownership of systems that aid in the operations of our DMart network, which encompasses over 860 dark stores and 31 distribution centers across eight MENA markets. You will be integrated into a cross-functional team comprising engineering, product, and data professionals, working end-to-end from discovery to delivery, and supporting post-launch initiatives. Your role will involve understanding customer and business needs, designing and writing software solutions, and ensuring the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) is optimized.

Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the systems critical for operational efficiency, closely collaborating within a cross-functional team (engineering, product, data) to address customer and business challenges.
- Engage in continuous discovery to assess customer/business needs and drive outcomes that align with these insights.
- Design, write, and release software that solves end-to-end business problems, delivering quality solutions in small batches according to engineering standards.
- Understand the scalability and complexity of your services, innovating within the framework of the entire SDLC.
- Facilitate the optimization of your team's practices, driving it towards self-organization and continuous improvement.
- Critically assess and simplify our technology organizational systems, processes, and solutions.
Who You Are
- You possess strong empathetic skills and excel in building relationships.

- You understand lean/agile values & principles and can apply associated practices.
- You have 3+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in an Extreme Programming environment (TDD, Pair Programming, Simple Design, and Continuous Refactoring), with expertise in .NET, Golang, and C#.
- You have experience in testing, focusing on automated end-to-end quality.
- You are knowledgeable in distributed systems architecture, including Microservices, Event-Driven, and RESTful services.
- You have worked with both relational and non-relational databases.
- You are familiar with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- You have experience with Trunk Based Development and Continuous Delivery, building, maintaining, and improving software solutions.
