About the Role
This position offers the opportunity to own and manage systems that enhance the operations of the company's DMart network, which includes over 860 dark stores and 31 distribution centers across eight MENA markets. You will be part of a cross-functional team (engineering, product, data) and will engage in the entire process from discovery to delivery and beyond. The goal is to create intelligent solutions that predict demand, optimize stock movement, and proactively address potential issues.

Responsibilities
- Own and manage the systems that facilitate the operational efficiency of the DMart network.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to continuously discover customer and business needs to drive desired outcomes.
- Design, write, and release software solutions addressing end-to-end problems within your business domain, delivering value in small batches while adhering to engineering standards.
- Understand the scalability and complexity of your services, taking ownership of the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Support the optimization of team practices to foster a self-organized and continuously improving unit.
- Critically assess and simplify existing tech organization systems, processes, and solutions.
Qualifications
- Empathetic and skilled in building relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Humble, curious, and open-minded, with a growth mindset and a desire for continuous feedback.
- Understanding of lean and agile values, principles, and practices.
- A minimum of 3 years of software engineering experience, ideally within an Extreme Programming environment (TDD, Pair Programming, Simple Design, Continuous Refactoring), primarily using .NET, Golang, and C#.
- Experience in automated testing with a focus on end-to-end quality.
- Familiarity with distributed systems architecture, including Microservices, Event-Driven, and RESTful services.
- Proficient in relational and non-relational databases.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Experience with Trunk Based Development and Continuous Delivery.

Contract and Travel Details
