Software Engineer - Node.js/React.js (UAE National)

The Software Engineer (Node.js/React.js) will practice software engineering, applying best practices and principles to deliver high-quality, maintainable, reusable, reliable, performant, and scalable software on schedule.

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Work Conditions: On-site, Full-time

Requirements:

• Education: Degree or postgraduate in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent industry experience).

• Experience:

  • 2-5 years of coding experience in JavaScript.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in TypeScript.
  • Relevant hands-on experience in Node.js and/or React.js.
  • Good knowledge and hands-on experience in databases.
  • Experience in performance tuning, debugging, and monitoring.

• Technical Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge in developing scalable and highly available Restful APIs using NodeJS technologies.
  • Well-versed with CI/CD principles and actively involved in solving/troubleshooting issues in a distributed services ecosystem.

• Functional Skills:

  • Experience in best coding, security, unit testing, and documentation standards and practices.
  • Preferred experience in banking, financial services, and Fintech in an enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology.
  • Capability to ensure quality in technical and application architecture and design across the organization.

• Soft Skills:

  • Ability to influence multiple teams on technical considerations.
  • Self-motivated and self-starter; capable of driving initiatives without supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with senior and executive management.
