Software Engineer - Node.js/React.js/Angular (UAE National)

This role involves working as a Software Engineer specializing in Node.js, React.js, and Angular, aimed at delivering high-quality, maintainable, and scalable software solutions promptly. The position is based in Dubai, and the successful candidate will be expected to practice software engineering principles to provide robust digital services for Emirates NBD, a leading financial institution in the MENAT region.

Emirates NBD is a prominent bank in the MENAT region with over 20 million customers across 13 countries, offering a wide array of financial services, including retail and corporate banking, Islamic banking, and investment services, with a significant emphasis on digital banking.

Requirements:

• Education: Degree or Postgraduate in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
• Experience:
  • 2-5 years of coding experience in JavaScript, with a minimum of 1 year in TypeScript.
  • Relevant experience in Node.js, React.js, and Angular along with database proficiency.
  • Skills in performance tuning, debugging, and monitoring.
• Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in creating scalable and highly available Restful APIs with NodeJS.
  • Understanding of CI/CD principles and resolving issues in distributed services.
• Functional Skills:
  • Familiarity with coding standards, security practices, unit testing, and documentation.
  • Experience in banking, finance, or fintech sectors is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology.
• Soft Skills:
  • Ability to influence diverse teams on technical issues.
  • Self-motivated with project management skills and effective collaboration abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for engagement with senior and executive management.
