We are looking for a Software Engineer who enjoys Python programming and is passionate about distributed systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and will work on both rigorous code and customer interactions. The role involves:
- Designing and delivering open-source software operations code in Python.
- Engaging with the entire Linux stack, from kernel and networking to storage and applications.
- Building high-quality open-source monitoring and alerting infrastructure.
- Simplifying open-source operations for our customers and the open-source community.
- Following agile software development practices and coaching colleagues.
Requirements:
- Strong Python development skills and familiarity with Kubernetes.
- Experience with Linux systems administration and package management.
- Hands-on experience with at least one public cloud platform.
- Familiarity with Docker.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar field.
- A commitment to delivering reliable software and understanding the significance of high-quality coding practices.
Work Conditions: Full-time, Remote with global travel once or twice a year for up to 2 weeks for events.
