As a Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the Technology team, building APIs, data pipelines, and writing event consumers while ensuring that systems are designed and scaled appropriately. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely or from offices in Krakow, Barcelona, Madrid, or Dubai.
Location: United Arab Emirates (Remote) - Relocation option available to Poland, Spain, or the UAE

Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain scalable APIs and data pipelines
- Write event consumers to create data models for new flows and processes
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
- 3+ years of experience with Python as the primary programming language
- Academic background in STEM
- Fluency in Python, SQL, and other object-oriented programming languages
- Experience with API development and integration
- Practical understanding of distributed systems
- Ability to write concurrent code in IO/CPU-bound situations
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Teamcity, and monitoring tools
Nice to Have:
- Experience with prototyping and sketching
- Involvement in multiple side projects or open-source contributions
- Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
