Our platform, Ubuntu, is utilized in various sectors including public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation, and IoT. We are looking for a software engineer to join our Kubernetes product team. In this role, you will build operators and add-ons, with a focus on lifecycle management and seamless integration into Kubernetes.

You will have the opportunity to work with the latest features in Kubernetes and contribute to open-source functionality for our end-users. Collaboration with industry peers and partners will be key in bringing the right solutions to our customers. This position is ideal for a software engineer passionate about open source software, Linux, Golang, Python, and Kubernetes.
Responsibilities:
- Write high-quality code to create new features.
- Debug issues and engage with the community.
- Collaborate proactively with a distributed team.
- Work with talented engineers, including experts in various fields.
- Work from home with 2 to 4 weeks of global travel for internal and external events.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Golang and fluent in Python.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field.
- Passion for technology and collaboration with skilled individuals.
Work Conditions:
- This is a remote position available in EMEA and the Americas.
- Distributed work environment with team sprints in person twice a year.
