Successful candidates will be interested in packaging formats, build systems, and automation that streamline the software shipping process. You will design and maintain specialist Python tools that assist the developer build and publication process, working with tooling that builds snaps, charms, and more recently, rocks. Our tools enable developers to deliver app updates automatically across millions of systems, making the experience seamless for users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance tooling for building and managing snaps, charms, and container images.
- Collaborate with external open source and commercial projects to improve community service.
- Extend the snap build ecosystem using your familiarity with various languages, toolchains, and CI systems.
Requirements:
- Expertise in Python.
- Strong understanding of modern GNU/Linux distributions.
- Familiarity with build systems, toolchains, and cross-compilation.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and LXD.
