Software Engineer (SAP ABAP & EWM)

The Software Engineer will design, develop, and optimize software modules for simple to complex system requirements, ensuring high-quality code, system performance, and maintainability in SAP EWM environments. This role requires active involvement in coding (SAP ABAP), debugging, and testing. The position is primarily remote-based with some travel to customer or project sites required.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities:

• Software Design: Create software designs in collaboration with consultants for SAP EWM implementation projects.
• Coding & Debugging: Implement designs (development) in SAP EWM systems, conduct code reviews, fix complex bugs, and present technical findings. Implement code optimizations as per specifications.
• Testing, Documentation & Support: Participate in stringent software testing procedures, including onsite integration testing at customer sites. Provide onsite and remote support during go-lives.

Skills & Experiences:

• 4–7 years of relevant experience in software engineering with strong ABAP expertise.
• University degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• In-depth experience with SAP software, ideally SAP EWM.
• Good understanding of intralogistics processes.
• Experience integrating SAP EWM with automation technology using the SAP EWM Material Flow System (MFS) is preferred.
• Familiarity with clean code practices and conducting code reviews.
• Comfortable with debugging, testing, and performance optimization.
• Possess an analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent self-learning capabilities and interpersonal communication.
• Experience mentoring and collaborating in cross-functional teams.
