The Software Engineer will design, develop, and optimize software modules for simple to complex system requirements, ensuring high-quality code, system performance, and maintainability in SAP EWM environments. This role requires active involvement in coding (SAP ABAP), debugging, and testing.
Essential Roles & Responsibilities:
- Software Design: Create software designs in conjunction with consultants in the context of SAP EWM implementation projects.
- Coding & Debugging: Implement designs (development) in SAP EWM systems, conduct code reviews, fix complex bugs, and present technical findings internally. Implement code optimizations as per specifications.
- Testing, Documentation & Support: Participate in stringent software testing procedures, including onsite integration testing at customer sites.
- Onsite and Remote Support: Support go-lives onsite and remotely.
Skills & Experiences:
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in software engineering, with strong ABAP expertise.
- University degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- In-depth experience with SAP software, ideally with SAP EWM.
- Good understanding of intralogistics processes.
- Ideally experienced in integrating SAP EWM with automation technology using the SAP EWM Material Flow System (MFS).
- Familiarity with clean code practices and code reviews.
- Comfortable with debugging, testing, and performance optimization.
- Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent self-learning capabilities and interpersonal communication.
- Experience in mentoring and collaborating in cross-functional teams.
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates (On-site)
Work Conditions: Full-time, On-site with some travel to customer or project sites required.
