We are on a mission to revolutionize open source application and infrastructure operations by enabling true model-driven operations via next-generation infrastructure-as-code. This role is an opportunity to lead and inspire a regional software engineering team to build new products for these transformative technologies.
The Solutions Engineering team closely collaborates with our managed infrastructure operations team, running various private OpenStack clouds and Kubernetes clusters for customers worldwide. This hands-on experience informs our development of infrastructure-as-code products. Our work primarily involves pure Python software development, focusing on enabling DevOps workflows and enhancing our platform’s robustness and performance.
What You Will Do:
- Design and deliver open source software operations code using Python and Golang.
- Work with the entire Linux stack, including kernel, networking, storage, and applications.
- Develop high-quality open source monitoring and alerting infrastructure.
- Apply sound engineering design and testing principles in your code.
- Follow agile software development practices.
- Coach and develop colleagues, promoting a healthy, collaborative engineering culture.
- Travel globally up to 10% for internal and external events.
Who You Are:
- A passionate Python developer with strong organizational skills.
- Understand the significance of reliable operations in an agile environment.
- Possess sound knowledge of cloud computing concepts and practical experience with Linux and networking.
