The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of extensive software development experience, particularly in Java (17) or Kotlin. A solid understanding of database architecture and SQL, as well as significant experience in designing and implementing microservices, is crucial. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, build, and enhance software products.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain web applications using Java or Kotlin, or any other programming language.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to ensure the delivery of high-quality code.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications to improve performance and user experience.
- Participate in deployment and on-call rotations to maintain smooth production operations.
- Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
- Drive best practices in secure coding, automation, and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD).
- Continuously learn and stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Kotlin, or similar languages.
- Experience with real-time payment screening, transaction monitoring, and financial compliance is a plus.
- Knowledge of databases and data pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, analytical mindset.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with payment networks (SWIFT, SEPA, RTGS, etc.).
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, and PSD2.
- Background in financial services, fintech, or related industries.
- Expertise in AML/KYC systems, sanctions screening, and risk analytics.
