Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple teams of engineers, from graduate to senior level.
- Develop engineering managers and maintain the company culture.
- Hire staff engineers focused on performance and quality.
- Coach, mentor, and provide career development feedback.
- Measure indicators of team health and productivity.
- Ensure thorough delivery that includes community participation and documentation.
- Implement and defend disciplined engineering processes.
- Measure progress against benchmarks for speed and efficiency.
- Represent products to stakeholders, partners, and customers.
- Develop and promote great engineering and organizational practices.
- Collaborate with other leaders and manage project progress.
Requirements:
- Exceptional academic record with a degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field, or an equivalent narrative.
- Extensive management experience with the ability to set high expectations.
- Proven track record in Linux-based software engineering.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with strong public speaking abilities.
- Passion for developing and mentoring people.
- Experienced in agile development environments.
- Ability to travel globally for company events twice a year.

Work Conditions:
- This is a remote position, requiring global travel twice a year for up to two weeks.
