You will need to be an excellent developer familiar with various programming domains, including but not limited to Python, Golang, C/C++/Rust, and web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, etc.). Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple teams of engineers from graduate to senior levels.
- Develop engineering managers and maintain the company culture.
- Hire staff-level engineers for specific roles.
- Coach, mentor, and provide career development feedback.
- Identify and measure indicators of team health and productivity.
- Ensure community participation and documentation in delivery.
- Implement disciplined engineering processes.
- Set and measure progress against benchmark goals.
- Represent your product to stakeholders, partners, and customers.
- Plan and manage progress on agreed goals and projects.
Requirements:
- Exceptional academic track record; undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a STEM field preferred.
- Extensive management experience with a track record of high expectations.
- Outstanding Linux-based software engineering experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Passion for developing people with evidence of past success in this area.
- Experience leading and mentoring software developers.
- Organized and capable of ensuring your team delivers high-quality results on time.
Work Conditions:
- The role is remote and offers flexibility across time zones.
- Requires global travel twice a year for up to two weeks.
