You will work across several of our Java Spring Boot services running on Kubernetes. AI-assisted development is central to our process: Claude Code is part of our standard toolchain, with a generous (near-unlimited) usage quota. We expect engineers at every level to be fluent with these tools, using them to drive efficiency while maintaining control over what ships.

You will have a dedicated mentor, alongside your team and manager, to help set and track your development goals. The internship is designed as a pathway into a full-time engineering role.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and debug software enhancements from ticket to production, with mentorship reviewing your work.
  • Utilize agentic coding tools (Claude Code) to enhance both the quality and velocity of your work, while helping the team build effective usage patterns.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing and acting upon constructive feedback.
  • Rapidly learn the team's tools, languages, and workflows to deliver projects within your initial weeks.
  • Engage in stand-ups, planning, and reviews; proactively flag at-risk projects.
  • Develop an understanding of our clients, their end-users, and the regulated environment we operate in.
  • Get involved beyond your team: participate in company events, demos, and cross-team initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • Final-year student or recent graduate (within the last 12 months) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience using agentic coding tools as a core part of your workflow (we run on Claude Code); possess the judgment to evaluate their output critically.
  • Proficient in at least one programming language such as Java, C++, Python, or similar.
  • Understanding of the fundamentals: version control, testing, and debugging.
  • Evidence of initiative: something you’ve built outside coursework, such as a side project, hackathon entry, open-source contribution, or previous internship.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; able to articulate your approach in breaking down complex issues.
  • Clear written communication skills; able to explain your projects and their rationale effectively.
  • Independent worker with the ability to seek help as needed.

Note: We value diverse experiences; if you resonate with our mission and values, we encourage you to apply even if you do not meet every requirement.
