Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead a squad of engineers and multi-disciplinary team members using Agile methodologies.
  • Oversee the migration and deployment of common functions onto OpenShift.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and other teams to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business objectives.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team.
  • Ensure the adoption of best practices in DevOps, cloud computing, and containerization.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and high performance.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Act as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, effectively communicating progress and challenges.
  • Drive automation and infrastructure as code (IaC) best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, and governance frameworks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in the field, with the last of which in leading engineering teams in an Agile environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OpenShift, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies.
  • Experience in cloud platforms, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and API development.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to drive team collaboration and motivation.
  • Experience with observability tools (logging, monitoring, and alerting).
  • Experience working with government digital transformation projects.
  • Certifications in Agile (Scrum Master, SAFe, etc.) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or Red Hat OpenShift).
  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud-native environments.
