We are seeking engineering managers with experience in high-quality microservice architectures and team leadership, preferentially those knowledgeable in Linux kernel, virtualisation, storage, and networking. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, fostering their professional growth and guiding them in executing outstanding work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a remote engineering team.
- Mentor team members through coaching and feedback.
- Manage expectations with engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Advocate modern software development practices.
- Engage with the open source community and partners.
- Participate in code and architectural reviews.
- Work remotely with global travel for 4 to 6 weeks per year for meetings and events.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of modern Linux cloud computing technologies, including networking, storage, containers, and Kubernetes (K8s).
- Proven experience in developing and growing team members.
- A focus on timely and high-quality software delivery.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
- Experience in programming languages such as C and/or Go.
Work Conditions:
- This is a full-time remote position available for candidates in EMEA and the Americas.
